Natural Resource Commission NSW Government Fitout

Natural Resources Commission electrical and data fit-out – 2015

2015 saw Micron Group complete the full brand-new fit out of NSW Government’s Natural Resources Commission headquarters on level 6 of 52 Martin Place Sydney. The fit-out design was a combination of the latest AV, lighting and communications technology integrated with natural materials to provide a comfortable and spacious work environment which catered for all of the commission’s requirements. New electrical wiring, architectural Led lighting, and high a bandwidth network system was scoped for the project.
Working with builders ADCO to complete the project, Micron carried out a full ‘back to slab’ strip out, removing all electrical wiring and network cabling. The installation of all new cable containment systems was followed by the installation of power, lighting, automation control and network data infrastructure. This included the installation of in-ground ducting and electrical floor boxes to service meeting room tables, high level architectural pendant lighting hung from the glass atrium windows, Cbus lighting control with full AV integration, Panduit Cat6A data cabling infrastructure and upgrade of the existing electrical switchboard to comply with the latest Australian Standards.
Utilizing a combination of afterhours and business hours works, Micron were able to deliver all aspects of the electrical scope without impact to the Channel 7 news studio located below the tenancy and completed all data commissioning in a live, fully functioning data centre adjacent to the tenancy which services the entire Department of Premier and Cabinet.
